Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Ain strengthened their lead in the ADNOC Pro League after securing a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Al Bataeh. The match took place on Thursday evening at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium, as part of the 23rd round of the competition.
Al Ain’s goals were scored by Laba Kodjo from a penalty kick in the 6th minute and Marwan Fahad of Al Bataeh, who scored an own goal in the 52nd minute. This victory brings Al Ain’s points tally to 59, maintaining their lead at the top of the table. Al Bataeh remains on 19 points in 12th place.
The first half witnessed a clear superiority on the part of Al Ain, who imposed their control from the beginning and succeeded in translating their superiority early through a goal by Laba Kodjo from the penalty spot.
