Liverpool continued their winning streak, after achieving an important victory over their rival Everton with a score of (2-1), in the match that brought them together on Sunday evening, as part of the 33rd round of the English Premier League.
Liverpool’s goals were scored by Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk in the 29th and 90th minutes, respectively. Beto scored Everton’s goal in the 54th minute.
With this win, Liverpool moved up to fifth place with 55 points, while Everton remained in tenth place with 47 points.
Nottingham Forest thrash Burnley 4-1
In another match, Nottingham Forest achieved a resounding victory over Burnley with a score of (4-1), in the match that took place at City Ground.
Nottingham’s four goals were scored by Morgan Gibbs-White (hat-trick) and Jesus in the 62nd, 69th, 77th and 90th minutes. Meanwhile, Xian Fleming scored Burnley’s goal in the 45th minute.
Nottingham Forest moved up to 16th place with 36 points, while Burnley remained in 19th place with 20 points.
Aston Villa secure a thrilling victory against Sunderland
Aston Villa also defeated Sunderland 4-3 in an exciting match held at Villa Park.
Aston Villa’s four goals were scored by Ollie Watkins (two goals), Rodgers, and Tammy Abraham in the 2nd, 36th, 47th, and 90+ minutes. Sunderland’s goals came from Chris Reig, Hume, and Wilson in the 9th, 86th, and 87th minutes.
Aston Villa increased their points tally to 58, placing them fourth, while Sunderland remained stuck on 46 points in 11th place.
