Cairo, Egypt – Sharjah FC achieved a hard-fought victory over their Saudi Arabian hosts, Al-Ahli, with a score of 1-0, in the match that brought the two teams together today, Monday, in the AFC Champions League Elite.
Sharjah visited Al Ahli at Al Inma Stadium, as part of the fifth round of the Asian Championship.
The match was intense from both sides, with a noticeable advantage for the Emirati visitors.
Sharjah managed to snatch a goal in the dying moments, specifically in the 81st minute, through player Othman Camara, after a one-on-one with the goalkeeper and a mistake by the Al-Ahli goalkeeper, which he exploited and shot into the net.

The win raised Sharjah FC’s points tally to 7, placing them seventh in the group standings.
Meanwhile, Al-Ahli Saudi’s tally remained at 10 points, placing them third in the group standings behind leaders Al-Hilal and second-placed Tractor.
This is Al-Ahli Saudi’s first defeat in the AFC Champions League.
