In the third round of the group stage of the West Asian Basketball Super League “Wasl – Al Khaleej” for the 2025–2026 season.
This was in the match that brought together the two teams on Monday evening in Kuwait, achieving their second victory in a row.
American DeChandre Washington, nicknamed the “King of the Double Trilogy”, led the Al-Ahly youth team to achieve a decisive victory in the final seconds.
He scored a three-pointer with 0.8 seconds left to seal the tie 65 – 65, despite intense defensive pressure from Kazma players.
He also excelled in defense at the same moment by blocking a final three-pointer attempt executed by American Phil Green, securing the defending champion’s victory.
With this result, Shabab Al-Ahly raised its score to 5 points in second place in the first group, behind the leader, Al-Ittihad Club, with the same score.
