Amman, Jordan – Syrian and Jordanian delegations held official talks on ways to strengthen corporate governance principles within companies. This step aims to raise transparency levels and improve institutional performance in the economic sectors shared between the two countries.

During the sessions, both sides emphasized the importance of updating the legal and regulatory frameworks governing corporate governance. They also stressed the need to develop oversight and auditing mechanisms, along with adopting advanced management practices that ensure clear responsibilities and enhance the business environment. Furthermore, the discussions highlighted the necessity of supporting technical and administrative staff with high-quality training programs that contribute to establishing a culture of modern governance.

According to participants, the next phase will involve practical steps to implement the recommendations through specialized committees. This approach ensures the expansion of economic cooperation and maximizes the benefits of integration opportunities between the public and private sectors in both Syria and Jordan.
