Aden, Yemen – Yemeni television announced on Saturday that missile launch sites and Houthi weapons depots in the Marib and Al-Jawf governorates were targeted, in addition to the bombing and destruction of Houthi militia positions in the Al-Jubah, Al-Safra, and Majzar districts. Yemeni television indicated that a large number of Houthi militia members were killed and wounded as a result of the precise strikes targeting their positions and gatherings in those districts.

Statements from the Yemeni presidency and the government’s position

In a related context, the head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi, stated that “the Houthi terrorist militia insists on gambling with the interests of the Yemeni people to serve Iran’s agendas,” adding that the Houthi militia’s continued escalation is a waste of time and a continuous drain on the resources of the Yemeni people. Al-Alimi emphasized, in a post on his official account on the “X” platform, that “the Houthi militia must realize that it has no option but to respond to the will of the people,” affirming the Yemeni government’s full commitment to working alongside the Coalition to Support Legitimacy to protect international waterways and secure global trade.

The coalition supporting legitimacy targets military sites in Hodeidah

Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition supporting the legitimate government in Yemen announced the targeting and destruction of Houthi military sites in Hodeidah province. Coalition spokesperson Major General Turki al-Maliki explained that the targets, which were completely destroyed, were directly linked to threats against commercial vessels in the Red Sea.

The coalition explained that the port of Hodeidah was not targeted at all, indicating that all ports of Hodeidah are opening their doors and continuing to operate for maritime and commercial navigation without any obstacles. The official spokesman for the coalition stated that the terrorist Houthi militia carried out a cowardly and reckless act when it targeted commercial ships in the Red Sea, adding this to its record of crimes and maritime terrorism in one of the most vital waterways in the world.

Major General Al-Maliki affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has stood and will always stand by the brotherly Yemeni people and their government in the most difficult circumstances and changes, reiterating the Kingdom’s continued firm support for them in confronting the terrorist Houthi militias and protecting regional and international security and stability in the region.
