Al Ain, UAE – The activities of the first session of “Al Ain Rutab Festival”, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, will begin on Saturday at “Al Sarouj Park – Al Ain”. It will continue until July 31.
The event is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in Al Ain Region.
The festival is part of the annual Dates season, which started with the Liwa Lecturer at the 22nd Liwa Dates Season, which concluded on Friday. It will move its second stop to Al Ain Oasis, as part of the Authority’s celebration of agricultural heritage through the palm tree as a symbol of Emirati identity.
Integrated regulatory environment
The Authority’s artistic and organizational teams completed the final touches to launch the festival. In preparation for receiving participants and visitors at competition sites, pavilions and accompanying events. Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, confirmed that preparations proceeded according to the approved timetable.
He pointed out that all work teams made efforts to complete various preparations, ensuring the organization of a festival befitting the city of Al Ain and its agricultural and heritage status.
Al Mazrouei said: “Al Ain Rutab Festival” represents an important station in the Dates season as part of the Authority’s efforts to preserve the agricultural heritage associated with the palm tree. And strengthening its presence in the community’s conscience as an authentic symbol of Emirati identity.
He pointed out that the festival combines agricultural competitions with heritage and entertainment activities. Within a framework that reflects the Emirati people’s connection to their land, palm trees, and inherited values.
