Tel Aviv, Israel – Amid the ongoing military escalation on the northern front, the Israeli army announced Sunday morning that it had carried out a precise military operation in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of several Hezbollah militants. An army spokesperson confirmed that Israeli forces had spotted a group of armed men equipped with RPGs, posing a direct threat to forces operating in the area.

The Israeli military statement explained that the Egoz unit (an elite commando brigade unit) identified and located the militants near the “security zone” where Israeli forces are stationed inside Lebanese territory. Following direct field coordination, the Israeli Air Force launched a targeted airstrike against the building where the group was holed up, killing all the targeted militants.
In a related development, the Israeli army revealed a separate military operation in the same area, in which its forces successfully located and destroyed a Hezbollah rocket launching platform. The military statement indicated that the platform was ready to fire and posed an imminent threat to Israeli ground forces in the field.
