Aden, Yemen – The Yemeni army announced on Monday that its warplanes had carried out a series of 13 intensive airstrikes. These strikes targeted Houthi positions, gatherings, and military vehicles in the central and northern parts of the country. They also destroyed a missile launch platform and a command and control center.
Details of the airstrikes in Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale’ and Ma’rib
According to the Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center, airstrikes this morning focused on the governorates of Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale’a, and Ma’rib. Warplanes carried out 13 precise airstrikes targeting Houthi vehicles and military sites, including a missile launch platform in the districts of Al-Sharia, Dhi Na’im, and Al-Sawadiya in Al-Bayda Governorate in central Yemen. Additionally, Houthi gatherings were targeted on Mount Nasiya in the Maris district, north of Al-Dhale’a. These strikes resulted in the destruction of a command and control room and a thermal imaging system belonging to the militia. Several airstrikes also targeted Houthi barracks and armed gatherings on the southern fronts of Ma’rib Governorate in northern Yemen.
Extensive operations in Taiz and Hodeidah
In a related development, Yemeni forces announced on Sunday evening that they had launched a large-scale military operation, including an offensive on the Al-Barah and Al-Kadha fronts west of Taiz governorate. During the operation, the forces successfully recaptured strategic positions and established control over new points south of Hodeidah governorate. The forces also thwarted a failed Houthi infiltration attempt on the Al-Dhabab front west of Taiz. This offensive resulted in more than 20 Houthi casualties, including dead and wounded, in addition to inflicting significant material losses on the militia.
A reconnaissance plane was shot down in Al-Jawf.
On the other hand, the Houthi group announced early Monday morning that its defenses had shot down a CH4 military reconnaissance drone. The drone was downed while carrying out what the group described as “hostile acts” in the airspace of the Khabb wa ash-Sha’af district in Al-Jawf Governorate, located in the far north of the country.
