Aden, Yemen – The Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center reported that Houthi militias targeted populated areas along Yemen’s western coast with 14 ballistic missiles and drone attacks. A military source within the Yemeni government forces explained that the Houthi attacks struck populated districts in the western coastal governorates of Taiz and Hodeidah. These attacks coincided with drone strikes. The source added, according to the Armed Forces Media Center, that air defenses intercepted and downed several drones in the Taiz area. Other drones were also shot down over districts along the western coast.

Suppressing sources of fire and mutual clashes in the Al-Barh axis

The source indicated that the ballistic missiles did not cause any damage to government forces’ positions deployed on the western coast.

He noted that the forces successfully suppressed Houthi fire and threats in the Al-Kadha sector of the Al-Barh axis, west of Taiz governorate. This coincided with ongoing clashes between the two sides.

High combat readiness to deal with threats

In closing, the military source affirmed that the military units stationed across all sectors remain fully prepared and ready. They are also prepared to respond decisively to any potential threats and to protect civilians and liberated areas.
