Tel Aviv, Israel – Israeli media reports, citing The Times of Israel, revealed dramatic developments in the Iranian nuclear issue following the return of Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir from a secret visit to Washington.
According to a security assessment presented at a high-level meeting that
included Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and the head of the Mossad,
the United States is now “closer than ever” to taking direct military action against the Islamic Republic.
Time window for the attack and potential target bank
Israeli Army Radio reported that security assessments indicate the region has entered “a period of absolute uncertainty,”
with expectations that a potential US attack could occur within a timeframe of two weeks to two months.
While no final decision has been made regarding the scope of the operation,
US military movements in the region suggest a state of high alert.
Trump to Khamenei: We’ll see who’s right
In a sharp escalation of rhetoric, US President Donald Trump responded on Fox News to warnings
from Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of a regional war, sarcastically saying,
“Of course he can say that,” and asserting that the world’s largest
and most powerful warships would arrive in the region “within a few days.”
Trump presented Tehran with two options: a comprehensive agreement,
which the US president hopes to achieve,
or all-out confrontation. He warned, “If we don’t reach an agreement,
we’ll see whether Khamenei is right or not.”
Supporting the protesters and human rights pressure
The US president linked the military intervention to Iran’s policy of internal repression,
repeatedly warning against the continued execution of protesters.
Trump told Politico that the current leadership is responsible
for “the complete destruction of the country,” emphasizing
that it is time to seek new leadership in Iran after the regime’s excessive violence brought it to the brink of collapse.
Military mobilization at sea and in the air
The threats are no longer mere rhetoric; Washington has deployed a massive naval fleet led
by the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, along with unprecedented military and logistical reinforcements.
Observers believe this buildup, which followed a secret military meeting at the Pentagon last Friday,
represents the most serious message from the Trump administration to Tehran in years.
