New York, USA – Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations stated that the United States would be responsible for the serious consequences of any attack targeting Iran. He also affirmed that Tehran would not hesitate to respond decisively in defense of its sovereignty and national security.
He clarified that Iran does not seek escalation, but it will not accept a policy of threats and pressure. He warned that any military adventure would open the door to a new phase of instability in the region.
He added that his country still prefers diplomatic solutions and dialogue through international channels. However, this does not mean overlooking its rights or ignoring its security. He also stressed that the response would be proportionate and painful in the event of any aggression.
The Iranian representative emphasized that the message is clear: Tehran is prepared to defend itself, and Washington will be the first to bear the consequences of any escalation.
