Tel Aviv, Israel – The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially announced its acceptance of US President Donald Trump’s invitation to participate in the “Peace Council” for the Gaza Strip. This initiative is part of the White House’s broader vision to end the conflict and usher in a post-war phase.
Extensive US diplomatic move
This approval comes just days after President Trump announced, on January 17, the launch of the second phase of his peace plan. This plan included inviting more than 60 countries to join this council.
The “Peace Council” aims to support the Palestinian Authority by creating an international framework for coordinating efforts.
It also aims to facilitate reconstruction by developing a comprehensive roadmap for building infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and stimulating investment to ensure long-term stability after two years of military confrontations between Israel and Hamas.
