Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, during his meeting with Dutch Defense Minister Robin Brickmans, stated that Lebanon’s stability serves Europe’s interests. He emphasized the necessity of Israel’s adherence to the agreement reached in November 2024, affirming that Lebanon has fulfilled all its commitments and remains committed to them despite ongoing Israeli aggression.

Aoun explained yesterday that Lebanon has no option but to negotiate. He pointed out that politics is based on three tools: diplomacy, economics, and war. He added that the end of any war in any country in the world has always been negotiation, usually with the adversary, not the friend or ally.

In a related context, President Aoun met with former US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs and former US Ambassador to Lebanon, David Hale. The discussion covered the internal situation in the country, developments in the south, and regional developments.
