Manama, Bahrain – Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani discussed ways to develop bilateral relations and enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields during a telephone call with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis. They also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest. The call addressed the level of relations between Manama and Athens and their ongoing development in the political, economic, and trade sectors. The importance of continuing joint efforts to serve mutual interests and open new horizons for partnership was also emphasized.
The two ministers also reviewed the latest developments in the region, in light of escalating tensions in several arenas and their repercussions on security and stability. The two ministers also discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation and coordination within the UN Security Council, given their respective memberships on the Council. They also exchanged views on a number of issues on the international stage. Bahrain and Greece seek to build upon their growing relations and expand areas of cooperation.
