Egypt condemned in the strongest terms the attack that targeted two ships belonging to the Emirati company ADNOC while they were crossing the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday evening. Stressing that this attack represents a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and the freedom of movement of ships in one of the most important international waterways.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement, its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates. Kuwait

The State of Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous Iranian attack that targeted two tankers belonging to the Emirati company “ADNOC” while they were crossing the Strait of Hormuz.

The Foreign Ministry confirmed, in a statement, that targeting commercial ships and international sea lanes represents a violation of international law and Security Council Resolution No. 2817. It puts the security of maritime navigation, the stability of energy supplies and international trade at risk.

She stressed the need to cease all actions that could escalate tensions in the region and to respect freedom of navigation and safe transit through international corridors. And the complete and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

It renewed the State of Kuwait’s full solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty and interests.

Qatar

The State of Qatar also strongly condemned the Iranian attack that targeted two Emirati oil tankers belonging to ADNOC while they were crossing the Strait of Hormuz. It considered it a flagrant violation of the rules of international law and freedom of maritime navigation, and a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution No. 2817.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the State of Qatar’s categorical refusal to use the Strait of Hormuz as a pressure card. In this context, he called for its reopening without conditions.

She stressed that freedom of navigation in this vital corridor is a well-established and uncompromising principle. The continued closure of the strait puts the vital interests of the countries of the region and the global economy at risk.
