Dubai, UAE – The Board of Directors of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority “TEDRA” announced the renewal of the public telecommunications licenses of the Emirates Telecommunications Group Company “Etisalat”. And Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company “DO”, for a new 20 years. Based on a federal decree-law regulating the telecommunications sector and its amendments.

The two licenses are valid from August 9, 2026 until August 8, 2046, and replace the two licenses issued in 2006. This provides the sector with a long-term regulatory framework that provides the stability necessary for sustainable investment in digital infrastructure and future technologies.

The Authority stated that the “renewal” reflects the depth of the partnership between the Authority and the two licensed companies, based on transparency and commitment to the regulatory framework. Noting that it continues to monitor compliance with license conditions, ensure a fair competitive environment, and protect subscribers’ rights. And raising the quality of services throughout the Emirates.
