Ramallah, Palestine – A Palestinian official called on the UN Security Council to adopt binding resolutions against Israel.

This comes amid escalating settlement activity in the West Bank and the continued confiscation of Palestinian land.

International calls to halt settlement expansion

The official stressed that mere statements of condemnation are no longer sufficient, calling on the international community to take concrete steps to

pressure Israel to halt settlement expansion and implement international resolutions related to the Palestinian question.

He warned that the continued construction of settlements and confiscation of land are creating new realities on the ground.

This threatens the possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state and undermines the prospects for a two-state solution.
