Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned the treacherous attack carried out using two drones against the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming its categorical rejection of all hostile acts that undermine Jordan’s security and stability and threaten its territorial integrity.
The GCC Secretary-General emphasized that this attack constitutes a flagrant violation of international laws and norms and represents a dangerous escalation that could destabilize the region. He stressed the necessity of confronting such attacks that target the security of nations and the safety of their people.
The Council reiterated its full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its support for the Kingdom in confronting all threats to its security and sovereignty, affirming its support for the measures taken by the Jordanian authorities to maintain the country’s security and protect its citizens and residents.
The statement indicated that Jordan’s security and stability are a fundamental pillar of regional security, calling on the international community to take a firm stance against such attacks and to work to prevent their recurrence, thereby contributing to the consolidation of regional peace and security.
The GCC concluded its statement by affirming its full support for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and for all measures it takes to protect its security and sovereignty, reiterating its rejection of all terrorist and hostile acts targeting brotherly countries and threatening the stability of the region.
