Damascus, Syria – Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab announced the arrest of the cell responsible for the bombings that struck the capital, Damascus, two days ago.

He confirmed that the operation followed intensive investigations

and security surveillance that led to the identification and arrest of those involved.

Arrest of the perpetrators of the bombings

The Syrian Interior Minister explained that security forces had

arrested members of the cell accused of carrying out the Damascus bombings,

as part of a security operation targeting those involved in the attack that occurred two days prior.

The minister did not disclose the number of detainees or provide further details

about the operation. He indicated that the investigation is ongoing.

Investigations to uncover the circumstances of the attack

Syrian authorities are continuing their investigation of those detained

to uncover the circumstances surrounding the bombings and the parties responsible.

They are also investigating whether other cells are linked to the attack.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that security services are continuing

their efforts to track down any individuals who may be connected to the operation.

They are also taking the necessary measures to prevent similar attacks.
