Manama – In a firm stance reflecting the solidarity of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, the Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted the State of Kuwait. Manama described these attacks as a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a direct threat to its security and stability. Moreover, Bahrain affirmed its full support for Kuwait in the face of any threats affecting its security or territorial integrity.
Bahraini Condemnation and Rejection of Hostile Practices
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that these Iranian attacks constitute a grave breach of international law and the principles of good neighborliness. It also stated that these attacks represent a dangerous escalation that could undermine the foundations of security and stability in the Arabian Gulf region. Furthermore, Manama called on the international community to take a firm and clear stance against these unacceptable practices. In addition, it stressed the need for strict adherence to respecting the sovereignty of nations, non-interference in their internal affairs, and compliance with international charters that guarantee the security and stability of states.
Gulf Solidarity: Our Security is Indivisible
Bahrain reaffirmed that the security of the GCC states is an indivisible system and that any aggression targeting one of the council’s members is considered a direct threat to regional security as a whole. Therefore, this necessitates coordination and a unified stance to confront all challenges. Manama clarified that it fully supports all measures and steps taken by the State of Kuwait to protect its security and national sovereignty.
A Call for Calm and Dialogue
Bahrain called for an immediate cessation of all hostile acts that increase tension in the region, stressing the importance of prioritizing dialogue and peaceful means to address crises to preserve regional security and protect freedom of navigation and the safety of vital maritime corridors. It also warned that continuing this escalatory approach does not serve de-escalation efforts but rather exposes regional and international peace to additional risks. For this reason, it urged full compliance with international laws to maintain collective stability.
