Brussels, Belgium – The European Union has imposed new sanctions on six individuals it says are involved in the poisoning and death of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny.
This comes as part of ongoing EU measures against those responsible for human rights abuses.

involvement in Navalny’s poisoning and the circumstances surrounding his death.
It also affirmed that these measures are part of holding those responsible for these violations accountable.
Nature of sanctions
The European sanctions include freezing the financial assets of targeted individuals within EU countries.
In addition, the sanctions include travel bans to member states
and prohibitions on any financial transactions with them.

The European Union affirmed that the new sanctions reflect continued pressure on Russia regarding human rights.
Furthermore, it emphasized its commitment to using its legal tools to hold
