Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese media reported that four people were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting various locations in southern Lebanon.

This comes amid ongoing security tensions along the country’s southern border.

Media sources stated that the airstrikes targeted populated areas and the outskirts of southern towns.

The strikes resulted in casualties, as well as material damage to property and infrastructure in the targeted locations.

Raids on various areas

Reports indicated that Israeli warplanes carried out several simultaneous strikes on multiple locations in the south.

There was also heavy aerial activity, causing panic among local residents.

Initial casualty count

Sources confirmed that the initial death toll from the airstrikes was four.

The number is likely to rise as search and rescue operations continue in some of the affected areas.

No official statement has yet been released regarding the nature of the targets.

Continued escalation on the border

This development comes at a time of ongoing tension in southern Lebanon.

Consequently, there has been intermittent exchange of fire across the border,

amid fears that the clashes in the region could escalate in the coming period.
