Cairo, Egypt – Preparations for the series “Separation,” starring actress Iman El-Assy, have been abruptly halted after the project had entered advanced stages of development and undergone numerous workshops to outline the plot and main characters, before the decision was made to postpone the project and not release it this season.
Lack of time behind the decision
The decision to postpone came as a result of the need for a longer period to complete the writing and preparation stages, in addition to the difficulty of finishing filming and the necessary arrangements for the show within the targeted period, which prompted those in charge of the work to postpone it until sufficient time is available to implement it properly.
Iman El-Assi is looking for her next job.
While the project is on hold, Iman El-Assi continues to review a number of new scripts and drama offers, in preparation for choosing the work with which she will embark on her next artistic experience in the coming period.
Discussing a thorny issue
“Separation,” written by Najlaa Al-Hadini and consisting of 12 episodes, presented a range of social and humanitarian issues within a suspenseful framework, most notably highlighting the dangers of what is known as the “date rape drug,” by addressing the repercussions of using these narcotic substances that are exploited to target victims and commit sexual assault crimes.
