Nikopol, Ukraine – Local authorities in Ukraine reported that a drone attack targeted the city of Nikopol, located on the southern front line. The attack killed three people, including an elderly woman and her son.
This incident is the latest in a series of attacks in the conflict zones.
Details of the attack
Oleksandr Hanza, the governor of the Nikopol region, stated that the attack was carried out by an FBV drone.
He indicated that the drone directly targeted people walking on a public road within the city.
He added via Telegram that the drone struck civilians
unexpectedly in an area close to the contact line.
He explained that local forces responded immediately to the incident.
Meanwhile, the region is frequently subjected to similar drone attacks,
further exacerbating the already precarious security situation in southern Ukraine.

According to initial reports, the attack killed an 87-year-old woman and her 51-year-old son.
A third person, whose identity has not yet been fully confirmed, was also killed.
The regional governor indicated that the victims were in an open area at the time of the attack.
