Manchester, England – England international Jadon Sancho continues to prepare for a new experience, after becoming a free agent following the end of his time with Manchester United.
The Portuguese newspaper Record reported that Sancho is currently training at the facilities of English club Felixton, which competes in the North West County League One North. This club is ranked in the tenth tier of English football. The aim is to maintain his fitness while he decides his next destination.
Felixton denies negotiating with Sancho
The newspaper explained that Sancho’s presence at the club’s facilities sparked widespread interest on social media. This prompted Felixton’s management to issue an official statement confirming that the player was simply training to maintain his fitness. There are no negotiations or agreements underway to sign him.
The club stressed that Sancho is not a trial player and there are no plans to sign him during the current transfer window.
A message from Bruno Fernandes
Sancho recently posted photos from his training sessions on his social media accounts. In one of them, he was wearing the shirt of his former Manchester United teammate, Portuguese Bruno Fernandes, who captioned the photo with the word: “Brother”.
A journey that did not live up to expectations
Sancho joined Manchester United in the summer of 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for €85 million. However, he failed to establish himself in the starting lineup, making 79 appearances in his first two seasons and scoring 12 goals.
Over the next three seasons, the player went on several loan spells, returning to Borussia Dortmund. He then moved to Chelsea, before spending last season with Aston Villa.
Uncertain future
Record concluded its report by confirming that Sancho’s name has been linked to several clubs during the summer transfer window, most notably Borussia Dortmund. However, the player has yet to decide on his next destination, awaiting the right offer to continue his career.
