Madrid, Spain – Spaniard Gonzalo Garcia addressed a touching farewell message to Real Madrid fans, after the end of his journey with the Royal Club and his official transfer to English club Fulham during the current summer transfer window.
Fulham announced the signing of Garcia on a contract that extends until the summer of 2031, thus closing a chapter that lasted 12 years within the corridors of Real Madrid, which began since he joined the youth sector, up to representing the first team.
A touching message to Real Madrid fans
Garcia posted a message through his official social media accounts, in which he recalled the highlights of his journey with the club, expressing his pride in wearing the Real Madrid jersey throughout the past years.
He said: “Twelve years ago, a child’s dream came true. Today I leave feeling satisfied because I gave my all every time I defended this shirt, and I leave with a heart full of gratitude, while Real Madrid will remain a part of me forever”.
He added: “I thank everyone who was part of this journey and helped me live moments I will never forget. I also thank the Real Madrid fans who gave me their support and love from day one until the last moment. It was a great honor to have that”.
He concluded his message by saying: “Defending this badge has been the greatest pride of my life. Thank you all.. Hala Madrid”.
