Washington, USA – In a significant diplomatic development, Fox News reported that the phone calls conducted by US President Donald Trump with Middle East leaders were marked by high positivity. These consultations demonstrated broad regional support for the progress achieved in the ongoing talks with Iran. Consequently, observers believe this diplomatic achievement led by Trump presents the region with a genuine opportunity to end the conflict. Furthermore, the discussions focused on securing stability, protecting vital maritime corridors, and ensuring the stability of global energy markets. This occurred amidst the region’s rapidly accelerating developments.

Regional Support for Conflict Resolution and Supply Security

On the other hand, regional leaders emphasized during their calls with the US President the importance of continuing the political path to avoid any new military escalation. Such escalation could negatively impact regional security. Moreover, the leaders unanimously supported any steps leading to tangible results. These positions come in the context of mediation efforts led by Pakistan. Pakistan aims to bridge viewpoints and reach a preliminary “Memorandum of Understanding.” From this perspective, experts believe that the shared desire to avoid “military uncertainty” has prompted the involved parties to show greater flexibility in handling contentious files.

Progress Toward a Comprehensive “Framework Agreement”

In the same context, diplomatic sources confirmed that the positive atmosphere reflects a genuine desire by both Washington and Tehran to advance negotiations toward their final stages. Work is currently underway to draft a “framework agreement.” This agreement would pave the way for a comprehensive settlement. Despite some remaining technical hurdles, the relative convergence on core files reinforces expectations of a near-term announcement. This announcement would likely include significant results. Accordingly, the international community is closely watching the coming hours, which may witness the unveiling of initial understandings. These understandings could contribute to de-escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and other conflict fronts.

Washington’s Strategy: Consolidating Regional Support for a Final Decision

Ultimately, analysts point out that the intensification of contacts with regional leaders reflects Washington’s eagerness to “legitimize” any potential understanding with Tehran by securing prior regional backing. Based on this, Trump seeks to ensure that any forthcoming deal is supported by allies to guarantee its sustainability. Despite the complex geopolitical challenges, the current negotiation path remains the most realistic opportunity to prevent the region from sliding into a new round of war. Consequently, all eyes remain on developments in Tehran and Washington, awaiting the outcome of the final intensive rounds of negotiations.
