Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call on Saturday from Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic. During which he renewed his condemnation of Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities in the UAE. Stressing Lebanon’s solidarity with the UAE regarding all measures it takes to protect its security and sovereignty and ensure the safety of its lands, citizens and residents.
During the call, the two sides discussed fraternal relations and various aspects of cooperation, especially development, and the keenness to continue supporting and developing it. Which will bring growth and prosperity to their two brotherly peoples.
The call touched on developments in Lebanese affairs and the efforts made to consolidate security and stability in Lebanon. President Joseph Aoun appreciated the authentic fraternal positions of the UAE in support of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and achieving the aspirations of its people towards security and stability.
During the call, the two sides also reviewed developments in the Middle East region. In this context, they stressed the importance of working to enhance the causes of stability and security and advance the peace process in the region for the benefit of all its peoples and the development and prosperity of its countries.
