Madrid, Spain – The Spanish newspaper “AS” revealed a state of ambiguity surrounding the position of Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid star, regarding his readiness to participate in the upcoming Clasico against Barcelona in the Spanish League competition.
Barcelona will host their traditional rivals Real Madrid on Sunday, May 10, at the Camp Nou stadium, in the highlight of the thirty-fifth round of La Liga, in a match of great importance to both teams, especially as the Royal Club seeks to disrupt the title decision in favor of its rival.
Mbappe has recently been suffering from a half-hamstring injury in his left leg, which has kept him out of action, amid anticipation within the team’s coaching staff regarding his final position on whether he will be able to play in the match.
According to AS, the player’s situation remains unclear, as the extent of his recovery is still unknown. He was expected to undergo a medical examination in Valdebebas today to monitor the progress of the injury, before it was postponed.
The French international is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan tomorrow, Thursday, to determine his availability definitively, as Real Madrid’s coaching staff hope to have him back before the upcoming match.
Mbappe, 27, only participated in rehabilitation exercises inside the gym, without taking part in the group training, which increases doubts about his availability for El Clasico.
