Kuwait – Colonel Jad’an Fadel, the official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti National Guard, announced that the task force responsible for securing vital installations successfully detected and downed six drones in the past 24 hours. These drones had attempted to fly over the areas under the Guard’s protection. This action demonstrates the high level of security vigilance.

Strengthening protection and countering threats

The official spokesperson explained in a press statement that this decisive action is part of the National Guard’s ongoing strategy to strengthen security and protect strategic sites across the country. He added that the aircraft were dealt with according to established security protocols for countering any potential threats or airspace violations in restricted areas. He also emphasized that the security of facilities is a red line that cannot be compromised.

A call to abide by the governing laws

In a related context, the spokesperson emphasized the necessity for all citizens and residents to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities. This is particularly important regarding regulations for the use of drones and obtaining the necessary permits from the Ministry of Interior and the Civil Aviation Authority. The aim is to avoid legal repercussions or exposure to security risks resulting from flying in unauthorized areas.

Full readiness and joint coordination

The statement concluded by emphasizing that the National Guard forces, in close cooperation with the nation’s protectors in the Army, Police, and Fire Service, operate as a unified team and are at the highest level of readiness to respond to any emergency. It stated that these forces will not hesitate to resolutely confront anything that threatens the security and stability of Kuwait. This is in accordance with the wise leadership that ensures the preservation of the state’s sovereignty, protects its national assets, and safeguards its supreme interests.
