Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call on Tuesday from Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada.
The call addressed the dangerous escalatory developments taking place in the region and their repercussions on regional security and stability.
The Prime Minister expressed Canada’s solidarity with the UAE following the blatant Iranian attacks on its territory and a number of countries in the region.
He stressed the condemnation of the attacks, which represent a flagrant violation of state sovereignty and the principles of international law, and undermine regional and international security and stability.
For his part, His Highness the President of the UAE thanked the Prime Minister of Canada for his country’s supportive stance towards the UAE.
His Highness stressed the need for an immediate cessation of escalatory actions and a return to serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions to overcome the current crisis and preserve the security and stability of the region.
