Washington, DC – US President Donald Trump warned Iran on Sunday that any action it takes against US forces or its allies in the region will be met with “military force like the world has never seen before.” Analysts described the warning as the strongest US rhetoric against Tehran in years.

“If Iran carries out its threats, we will hit them with a force the world has never seen before. There will be no leniency or delay,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social account. He added that the purpose of these messages is to deter Tehran and prevent any escalation, which could lead to a full-blown military confrontation.

Trump’s statements come in the wake of a series of US and Israeli military strikes on strategic sites in Iran. These strikes targeted military installations and missile programs, as part of a pressure campaign to prevent Tehran from bolstering its military capabilities. This comes amid an unprecedented escalation in the region.

Analysts confirmed that these warnings represent an unprecedented escalation in US rhetoric. They could be a prelude to further military action, while keeping the diplomatic option open should Iran refrain from any hostile steps.

Observers point out that any actual confrontation could lead to a wider escalation of the regional conflict. This would also have a direct impact on the stability of the Gulf and global oil markets, at a time when the region is experiencing heightened tensions between major powers.
