Tel Aviv, Israel – Israel’s National Security Council issued an updated and intensified travel warning to its citizens ahead of the Jewish High Holidays. The council urged them to avoid residing in or visiting several Arab and Muslim countries due to heightened security concerns. In its latest assessment, the council placed Jordan, Qatar, and Egypt – including the Sinai Peninsula – along with Somalia, under the highest level of alert, level four. Israelis currently in these countries were advised to leave immediately and to refrain from traveling there.
Warnings include Türkiye and countries surrounding Iran
The list of warnings also included Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya, and Algeria, with a clear recommendation to avoid travel to these countries. The council noted potential risks in countries surrounding Iran. For example, Turkey and Azerbaijan were included on the list due to concerns about activities by entities linked to Tehran or its allies.

The National Security Council explained that the assessment comes amid regional tensions and ongoing threats targeting Israelis and Jews abroad. It urged travelers to follow travel instructions and adhere strictly to security assessments.
