Moscow, Russia – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its forces have liberated two strategic towns in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. This comes as part of ongoing military operations on the front lines in eastern and southern Ukraine.
In an official statement, the ministry confirmed that Russian units continued their advance and established full control over the two towns after intense clashes with Ukrainian forces, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on the opposing side.
The statement added that the operations were supported by artillery and air power, as part of a plan to expand control and secure liberated areas. Forces are still pursuing retreating Ukrainian troops.
