Washington, DC – The Wall Street Journal revealed that the US administration has recently discussed plans and potential scenarios for military strikes against Iran. This comes amid escalating tensions between the two sides over a number of sensitive issues, primarily Iran’s nuclear program and Tehran’s regional influence.

The newspaper quoted informed sources as saying that these discussions took place within high-level political and security circles. They focused on multiple options, ranging from limited strikes targeting specific facilities to broader scenarios, all aimed at sending a strong deterrent message to the Iranian leadership.

According to the report, these plans have not yet been finalized into executive decisions. However, they reflect the level of concern within Washington regarding the acceleration of Iranian nuclear activities, along with fears of Tehran’s expanding role in several regional hotspots.

The newspaper noted that the discussions were accompanied by internal debate about the potential repercussions of any military action, particularly concerning the Iranian response and its impact on the stability of the Middle East, global energy markets, and US relations with its allies.

Observers believe that leaking such information through the American media carries political dimensions and indirect messages. This could be intended to pressure Iran in the negotiation process or to prepare public opinion for the possibility of a calculated escalation, at a time when the region is still grappling with complex and sensitive crises.
