Local officials said the attack also partially paralyzed transportation. This led to severe traffic congestion in the capital and disrupted the daily commutes of workers and students. They explained that some areas of Kyiv had begun distributing generators and fuel depots to temporarily alleviate the crisis.
The Russian attack is part of a series of repeated strikes targeting vital infrastructure in Ukraine. According to military experts, these attacks aim to increase pressure on the government and raise the cost of the conflict.
