Taipei, Taiwan – A senior Taiwanese police official confirmed that terrorism has been ruled out in the recent violent attack in Taipei, which left several people dead. He indicated that initial investigations have not revealed any ideological motives or links to extremist organizations.

The official explained that the investigation teams are currently focusing on the suspect’s background and personal motives. He noted that the available evidence so far suggests the incident was an isolated act stemming from personal reasons and is not linked to any organized terrorist activity.

He added that security forces have increased their presence around the site of the incident and vital locations in the capital. This was done as a precautionary measure to reassure citizens and maintain public order. He also confirmed that the security situation is under control.

The attack had sparked concern among the Taiwanese public. Authorities confirmed that the ongoing investigations did not indicate a wider threat to national security or public safety.
