London, Britain – The British Foreign Office revealed on Thursday that its foreign intelligence service seeks to recruit spies for it even inside Russia.

This is done by using the dark web, through a mechanism called the “silent carrier.”

She stated that the Foreign Intelligence Service (MI6) is seeking to recruit new spies for the United Kingdom. This recruitment effort includes operations inside Russia.

By launching an electronic portal on the dark web.

She explained that the new secure messaging platform, called “Silent Carrier”, will benefit for the first time from the anonymity feature provided by the dark Internet.

As part of the agency’s efforts, the focus is to strengthen the United Kingdom’s defenses against global instability and international terrorism. Hostile intelligence service activity is also a concern.

According to the Associated Press, the platform will allow anyone anywhere in the world who possesses sensitive information. This information could relate to terrorism or hostile intelligence activities. They can securely communicate with the United Kingdom and offer their services.

“As the world changes and the threats we face multiply, we must ensure that the UK always stays one step ahead of our adversaries,” said new Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper. Our world-class intelligence agencies stand on the front line of these challenges. They work behind the scenes to protect the British people.

The portal is scheduled to be available starting Friday. Instructions for its use will be published on the official channel of the (MI6) device on YouTube.

Users are advised to access it via reliable networks (VPNs). They should use devices not linked to their personal identities, according to the agency.
