Tehran, Iran – Stressing that Tehran is preparing itself to face the worst possibilities. Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, considered that a new war could break out at any moment.

Safavi said, in statements reported by IRNA on Monday, that “Iran is not in a ceasefire, but rather in a phase of war”.

He pointed out that any truce could collapse at any time. This is especially true in the absence of any protocols or agreements with the United States or Israel.

He explained that Washington and Tel Aviv “believe that peace is made by force.” This requires Iran to be strong regionally and internationally.

He added: “A ceasefire only means a temporary cessation of fire, which can resume at any moment”.

Safavi stressed that the Iranian armed forces are developing scenarios to deal with the worst possibilities. They stress the need to strengthen defensive and offensive systems, including diplomatic, media and cyber capabilities. In addition, they are focusing on missiles and drones.

He concluded by saying: “The best means of defense is attack, and preparing for war is the best way to ensure peace”.
