Cairo, Egypt – The production company behind the film “Shalet Thanawy” has decided to release the film in cinemas next month, after completing all its pre-production phases, to begin competing at the box office during the summer season, amid expectations that the film will attract the audience’s attention due to its blend of comedy and social drama within a framework of exciting events.
Social events with a comedic twist
“The High School Gang” is a social comedy about three people, each facing a professional and personal crisis that leads them to feel frustrated and lose confidence in their abilities. They decide to embark on an unconventional adventure by carrying out a major project outside the framework of the law, believing it to be the only way to prove themselves and achieve what they failed to achieve through legitimate means.
Disputes and crises between friends
As events unfold, a woman enters the story and exploits the protagonists’ circumstances for her own gain, leading to numerous crises and conflicts among them. However, the story reveals the strength of their bond, and ultimately, their friendship triumphs over all challenges and obstacles.
Film heroes and makers
The film stars Bayoumi Fouad, Sayed Ragab, and Fathy Abdel Wahab, along with a number of other artists. It is written by Abdel Fattah Kamal and directed by Hisham El Shafei, while Safwat Ghatas and Mohamed Fawzy are producing it, in a collaboration that marks their strong return to the cinematic scene after years of focusing on television dramas.
