These efforts also aim to protect border security in Jordan.
Inspection and examination operations
A responsible military source explained that border guard forces, in coordination with the relevant security
and military agencies, detected the two drones as they attempted to cross the border.
They were engaged according to the established rules of engagement and shot down before reaching their targets within the Kingdom.
The source added that inspections resulted in the seizure of quantities of narcotics
that were being carried on the two drones.
The seized items were then transferred to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
The competent authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
Smuggling attempts using sophisticated methods
