Cairo, Egypt – The production company behind the film Samson and Delilah has decided to postpone its official release until after the Eid al-Adha 2026 season. It is now scheduled to be shown in cinemas during July, due to the ongoing filming of several remaining scenes both inside and outside Egypt.

Ahmed El Awady continues filming his final scenes

Actor Ahmed El-Awady is currently intensifying the filming of his final scenes in the movie, after the crew finished shooting a large part of the events in several European countries, as part of a huge production plan aimed at presenting a cinematic work that combines action, romance, and comedy.

Action and romance in the film’s events

The film unfolds as an action-comedy, with Ahmed El-Awady portraying a professional sniper who embarks on a series of dangerous chases and adventures. His character then develops a romantic relationship with Mai Omar, amidst numerous romantic and comedic situations that eventually culminate in marriage within the narrative.

Action heroes and makers

The film stars Ahmed El Awady and Mai Omar, along with Khaled El Sawy, Essam El Sakka, Ahmed Essam El Sayed, and Arfa Abdel Rasoul, in addition to several guest stars. It is written by Mahmoud Hamdan, directed by Raouf El Sayed, and produced by Ahmed El Sobky and Karim El Sobky.

Ahmed Al-Awadi’s popular success

The film comes at a time when Ahmed El-Awady is experiencing a surge in popularity, having recently won the Best Popular Actor award for his role in the series “Ali Clay,” which aired during Ramadan 2026 and garnered widespread audience engagement thanks to its popular appeal and action-packed style that has characterized his work in recent years.
