Cairo, Egypt – Director Hosni Saleh announced that the title of actor Mustafa Shaaban’s new film has been changed from “39 Fights” to “The Ghost,” as filming is set to begin in May, a move that reflects new features of the project.
National identity with an epic character
Hosni Saleh revealed some details about the film by commenting on the official poster, saying: “Sinai is my homeland, its sand is gold watered with the blood of martyrs,” referring to the national and epic nature of the film, which deals with one of the most prominent heroic acts of the Egyptian army.
Filming begins and intensive preparations are underway.
Mustafa Shaaban is preparing to begin filming his first scenes next May, marking his return to the cinema screen after a long absence.
Meanwhile, director Hosni Saleh continues to put the final touches on preparations, by inspecting filming locations and selecting the rest of the crew, amidst massive preparations befitting the nature of the project.
The story of a hero from the legends of the Thunderbolt
The film “The Ghost” revolves around the biography of the heroic martyr Major General Ibrahim Al-Rifai, one of the most prominent figures in the Egyptian Armed Forces, who was known by the title “Lion of the Thunderbolt” due to his exceptional acts of heroism in the history of the Egyptian army.
Mustafa Shaaban embodies the character of Al-Rifai in a unique experience that blends the human and national dimensions, and is expected to represent an important milestone in his artistic career.
Action heroes
The film features a large group of stars nominated to participate, including: Mohamed Riyad, Ahmed El Tohamy, Mohamed Mamdouh, Mahmoud Abdel Moghny, Shady Moqar, and Kamal Abu Raya, in addition to a number of other artists, bringing the total number of participants to about 31 artists, in a work expected to be one of the biggest cinematic productions anticipated.
