New York, USA – American billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates has issued a worrying warning about the near future. He stresses that the world could witness a “new dark age” within the next five years. This will occur if urgent action is not taken to address global challenges.

Gates’ warning came in a recent interview with an American channel, where he pointed to the multiple threats facing humanity.

This ranges from accelerating climate change to potential outbreaks of epidemics. It includes economic and technological risks that could shake the stability of societies.

Gates said: “If we do not take effective steps today, we could face a comprehensive global crisis similar to previous dark ages.”

But this time it will be faster and more complex.” He stressed that investing in clean energy, public health, and technological innovation is the best way to avoid the worst-case scenario.

The warning comes at a time of increasing political and economic tensions around the world. This makes Gates’ talk of “five crucial years” a wake-up call to the international community about the importance of acting now to avoid a potential global crisis.
