Cairo, Egypt – The League of Arab States affirmed the necessity of continuing to support the educational process in Palestine, given the increasing challenges facing the education sector due to the current situation and humanitarian and economic pressures.

In a statement, the League stressed that education in the Palestinian territories is a fundamental priority and a crucial pillar for ensuring the continuation of normal life and safeguarding the future of coming generations. It also called for providing the necessary support to educational institutions, schools, and universities.

The university also called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities in ensuring the continuity of the educational process and providing protection for students and teachers. It emphasized that targeting or disrupting education constitutes a grave violation of international laws and conventions.

The university further noted that supporting the education sector in Palestine contributes to strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people. Moreover, it safeguards their right to education as a fundamental and inalienable right.
