Dubai, UAE – The 31st edition of the Dubai International Pharmacy and Technology Conference and Exhibition “Dovat 2026” will start next Tuesday. It will last for three days at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with the participation of more than 1,100 brands, and attracts more than 25,000 visitors from 85 countries around the world.

The event brings together an elite group of industry leaders, experts and specialists from around the world. To discuss the latest developments and innovations that shape the future of the pharmaceutical sector.

The Emirates Pharmaceutical Foundation (EDE) announced its official support for “Dovat 2026”, in a move that reflects its commitment to supporting the development of the pharmaceutical industry sector. Strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors and supporting the development of the pharmaceutical system in the UAE. By improving regulatory frameworks, encouraging innovation, promoting local pharmaceutical manufacturing, and consolidating the resilience of supply chains.

This support confirms the Foundation’s keenness to advance scientific excellence and professional development. This contributes to ensuring patient safety and ensuring access to safe, effective and high-quality medicines. In line with the objectives of the UAE’s national strategy to enhance health care. Consolidating the country’s position as a leading regional and global center for pharmaceutical industries and health innovation.

Notable event

Dovat is one of the world’s leading pharmacy events in the Middle East and Africa. It constitutes a global platform that brings together an elite group of pharmaceutical companies, specialists, experts, and decision-makers. To review the latest innovations and technologies, discuss the future of the pharmaceutical industry, and opportunities for cooperation and strategic partnerships.

Through its official support for this event, which brings together medical regulators, industry leaders and the scientific community, the Emirates Pharmaceutical Foundation contributes to enhancing knowledge exchange and exploring investment opportunities. Developing pharmaceutical solutions that contribute to improving the quality of health care.

This support confirms the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors in developing an advanced pharmaceutical system and improving the quality of pharmaceutical products. Supporting local manufacturing and encouraging research and development, keeping pace with the UAE’s aspirations to build a sustainable health sector based on innovation and knowledge.

Workshops and scientific sessions

Dovat 2026 activities include holding 104 scientific sessions, 12 workshops, and displaying 400 scientific posters from university students. In conjunction with it, the Vita Show Dubai exhibition will be held, presenting the latest innovations in the field of nutritional supplements. It allows industry leaders to showcase innovative products and developments in this sector.

Over the course of more than three decades, Dovat has succeeded in establishing itself as a global platform that brings together the various stages of the pharmaceutical value chain. From manufacturing and research and development, to innovative health solutions and pharmaceutical product distribution, shaping the future of this sector.

Dovat is organized annually by Index, a member of Index Holding, to organize conferences and exhibitions. In addition to official support from the Emirates Pharmaceutical Foundation, its supporting institutions and entities include the Dubai Health Authority and the American Pharmacists Association (APA). The European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP), the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS), and the Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE). The European Society of Pharmaco-Oncology (ESOP), the International Federation of Pharmacy (FIP), the International Society for Therapeutic Drug Control and Clinical Toxicology (IATDMCT) and others.
