Dubai, UAE – The General Secretariat of the National Committee to Combat Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing confirmed that the UAE continues to establish an effective approach to pursuing illicit proceeds and recovering assets. Noting that the value of local confiscations amounted to 4.23 billion dirhams during 2025, compared to 990 million dirhams in 2021.
She stated on her social media account that the value of confiscations recorded during 2025 exceeded four times the level recorded in 2021. Law enforcement agencies continued to implement local confiscation measures in financial crimes cases during the same year.
She explained that confiscations contribute to depriving perpetrators of crimes from benefiting from the proceeds obtained from their illegal activities.
