Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah discussed regional developments and efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region during a phone call. The call also addressed ways to continue coordination and consultation between the two countries regarding the rapidly evolving situation. Furthermore, the call emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to prevent the escalation of tensions and to address existing crises through political means and dialogue.
In the same context, the UAE Foreign Minister discussed with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi regional developments and joint efforts to contain the escalation, thereby supporting the region’s security and stability. The talks emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab coordination in confronting current challenges. Furthermore, the discussions stressed the need to support diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and preventing the spread of crises to new areas.
These moves come amid escalating regional tensions and concerns about their repercussions on the security of countries in the region, as well as on navigation, trade, and energy. This escalation is prompting Arab capitals to intensify political and diplomatic contacts to mitigate the risks of further escalation. The contacts emphasized the necessity of continued dialogue and coordination among Arab states. They also affirmed support for efforts aimed at de-escalation and creating the appropriate conditions for reaching political solutions to the crises plaguing the region.
