Yerevan, Armenia – Armenia and the European Union discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation and strategic partnership. This comes amid growing efforts to bolster political, economic, and security ties between the two sides. The talks addressed a number of shared issues, as well as prospects for developing cooperation in the coming period. This will contribute to supporting stability and development and strengthening relations between Armenia and the European Union.
These talks come amid a marked improvement in relations between Yerevan and Brussels. Both sides are interested in expanding cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, investment, energy, and infrastructure, as well as strengthening coordination on security and regional issues. In addition, the European Union seeks to support Armenia in implementing reform programs, strengthening state institutions, and developing economic ties. In parallel, Yerevan is working to broaden its international partnerships and diversify its economic and political relations.
The talks emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue between the two sides and capitalizing on available opportunities to develop the partnership. This serves common interests and supports security and stability in the South Caucasus region. Furthermore, Armenian-European initiatives reflect a shared desire to deepen relations. There is a focus on long-term cooperation projects and strengthening political and economic ties, paving the way for a new phase of partnership between Yerevan and Brussels.
